22 Years Old Friends - 2011 Raya Gathering

How many 20yrs will each of us have in our lifetime? I think the most would be 4 only, provided we can live till 80yrs old hehe.. This year 4th day of Raya, we (ex-convent girls) have hold the very first gathering at Old Town White Coffee Cafe and fate have bring us back together after so many years, my secondary time classmates & schoolmates that I've all lost contact since we finished our Form 5 in year 1989.

Auww..., time flies, it's been 22 yrs ago since I left my secondary school life and ...

FaceBook have linked us all back together :) how magical & wonderful right?? Although I'm the one & only chinese in the group, but I'm really happy to see all my friends again after all these years. Memories of my secondary time straight flies back & fresh in my mind. I'm looking for more gathering in the future & hope more friends will join us.

My dear friends, thank you so much for the gathering. I'm having a great time to be with all of you that day & I really appreciate those precious moments we have together. Although, we didn't have much time to talk with each and everyone of you at that time (Semua sibuk tangkap gambar & catch up with each other .. ) Sincerely, I'm happy to see u all again !! Just feels like we've back to teenager days again :))

After 6 months of disappearance ..

Just tell me how much you all missed me or miss my blog. Well, actually I was taking risk that maybe I will not have even one people missed me .. hahaha Oh well, my dear blogger friends, my friends who friends who have been followed my blog and my fans. I'm BACK in one piece...still breathing and I'm doing fine all this while. How can I stop blogging, oh no way..!!!! I always found PEACE when I blog. It's a place where I can express out my thinking & feelings, be it the happy one or the sad one. A place where I can share to all my friends and maybe strangers my happiness or just scold or express out my disappointment or anger etc.

After stop blogging for a while, I'm now back with a lot of stuff to shared with all of you. I do miss some of my blogger friends too. Dear all, I'M BACK!!

She Just Love To Draw . . .

She is the youngest among my 3 kids. She is very talkative and likes to help me with the house-work and cooking. She love to eat and eat just anything. She loves to draw and will draw me greeting cards most of the time with some touching wording in it like "Mommy, I Love U" ... !! How sweet ya?? :)

This is what she draw about the cycle of life. Born as a baby till we grown old. I love how she draw the baby wrapped in the towel .. she just got the talent to draw :)

P/S : She is very smart & understanding gal, very "manja" too... but, she just cannot make it when comes to study and reading :(( Why like this?? I have to nag her all the time to study and finish her school-work.. *sigh~

Most girls when got the opportunity to go KL, one thing sure comes in mind.. that's shopping, shopping & more shopping .. hehe!! But, for me .. the first thing comes into my mind is food, food & more nice food.. yum, yum ... !!! :) The longer I stay in KL .. the fatter I will become, *sigh!! Too many nice food available here. Although we have to pay more, like one bowl of kuey teow soup for RM4.50 but, the portion are like double the quantity we ate in Alor Star. Not to waste it, I try to finish the whole bowl. My SIL brought me to Jusco Supermarket near by her house and I end up buying these .... what if, have a look at it??? .. Here goes my $$$ & these stuff follows me home :P

Love this cakes and snack recipe book from one Taiwanese Chef - 孟老师, she is quite famous among my friends from cooking blog. Most people followed the recipe shared by her and successfully bake the cakes. I got another 3 recipes book by her too. This will be the 4th book I get from 孟老师 ... all recipes inside this book are very tempting .. :P

Do you know that my one and only weakness. I got the bad-habit of like to buy recipe books. Each and everytime when I got the opportunity to visit the book-shop, my first department to visit is the place where they display the cooking/recipe books. I just love to look at the nice foodie pics and read the recipe books. Other than recipe books, I love to check out the books on handicraft or DIY books. I can spent hours by flipping all the books there. Most of the time, I will end-up like 5-6 books on my hand before I decided which 1-2 books that I'm going to buy that day. Sometimes, it's really very hard for me to make the decision. I just love it all .. hehe! But, those books are quite expensive and I must really make the tough decision to cut down from 6 books to only 2 books. Here are the books I got for myself recently... :)

The Golden Book of Chocolate - everything made of chocolates.. yummy!! This 703 pages recipe book cost me RM71.80, it is as thick as dictionary. I love every single recipe in it .. !! (A bit heartache with the price but, I'll more heartache if didn't get one back home .. hehe)

I grown up listening to Teresa Teng's song. She is my father's idol and I know most of the song sang by her. Now, after my father had passed away, each time when I listens to her songs it always remind me of my beloved father. I missed Teresa's songs a lot and I miss my father more. New Ironing Board

Look at my ironing board. I wonder why most of the things nowadays are not as durable as the things at our grandmother's time. When all of you see this, sure the first thing come into your mind are "huh.. how I can breaks this ironing board till like this"?? right.. haha.. Actually, it's the wood used are too soft and couldn't support my ironing work. I will do the ironing almost daily. Actually I'm a bit "sayang" to just throw it away, still in good condition :( If my father are still around, he sure can help me repair it.. :(( I don't know how to repair this .. so, I just get myself a new one.

Whenever I visit KL, one of the food this I must not missed out are this "Curry Chee Cheong Fun". Love it so much...my favorite!! Beside that, I love their "Yong Tau Foo" as well ... very yummy!! :) There are just too many nice food in KL. The longer I stay in KL, I'm sure that I will become "Fei Por" soon .. hehe!!

My Collection Of Hair Accessories

When I'm younger, my mom used to cut my hair short. Both my parents they are working and my mother she didn't have time to help me comb or tie my hair. So, short hairstyle will be easier for me to comb by myself. Keeping long hair was my dream since I was small. I wanted so much to keep long hair so that I can style it to my liking. Tie it up, bun it up or just left it like that ... hehe!! Now, I let my 2 princess to keep long hair, although it takes sometime to comb or tied up their hair but I just love girls with long hair. I found them sexier ... hehe!! The first time I keep my hair long was when I'm in Form 5, that's only shoulder length long.. :)

I have bought some hair accessories for myself & my princess recently and wish to share it here with all of u... Actually, I can just share this with my girls .. but, I prefer to let my princess use it most of the time :)

This rubber band comes together with fabric ribbons.. look really nice when we use it to tied a hair bun, please refer to picture no.5 ^.^

D5 Cafe Alor Star

There are more and more cafe with Wifi in Alor Star lately. Old Town Cafe, Uncle John, Georgetown Cafe & etc.. just to name few. At the day when I'm not cooking I would love to bring my kid's out to dine at the newly open or the one we have not yet pay a visit to try out their food... On 4th Dec, we went to this D5 Cafe as suggested by son to have our lunch there. I will definitely won't go back there again because non of the food we ordered that day taste good. I just wonder how long a cafe with terrible food can survived here in Alor Star??

Bleeding Gum

My gum bleeds each time I brush my teeth, it was quite disturbing and I know it's time for me to visit dentist for my yearly check up and got my plaque remove. Surprisingly, after my dental appointment my gum stopped bleeding when I brush it. According to the dentist, my gum are not that healthy and he advise me to do the treatment. I trust his professional advice and agreed to get my gum treated. It's quite expensive but I want my gum to be healthy ... what to do?? :((

It takes me 2 days to get it all treated. On 3rd Dec the dentist treat my right side gum. It included plaque removal and the gum treatment. The next day, I got my left side gum - upper and lower gum treated.

I buy this Compact Interdental Brush to removes the plaque between teeth or the food that sticks in between teeth. This is the best was to keep our teeth clean thoroughly besides floss it :)

Dr told me, my gum are quite sensitive and advise me to use the super soft tooth brush to my teeth. I bought a bottle of PerioGard - Antiseptic Mouth & Throat Rinse to rinse with it after my brushing twice daily.

Antibiotic & some painkillers for me :)

Will back for the follow-up check up again after 2 or 3 weeks. Now, I will spent longer time to brush my teeth, paying more attention to the teeth at the back which we hardly reach it with tooth brush.

After spent sometime & money, no more bleeding gum & fresher breath :)

Twice In One Month Time . . .

I just change the tyre recently, my tyre breaks when I accidently drive on a broken flower pot at my mother's house when I go to help her drive her rubbish to throw. I had to change the tyre to new one because it cannot be used anymore. Is that we called lucky or the other way round when my tyre puncture again in one month time??? A 2 inch nail are the culprit ... who's gonna to be blamed?? sigh**

Today Is Not A Good Day !!

My alarm rings at 7am, why so early??? It's school holiday already and I can wake up a bit late right? My son he has to go to school for the Chinese Orchestra - Erhu practice, again .. practice, practice, practice .. even on school holidays also have to go practice. It's ok for me to wake up early and sent him to school... I want to get my yearly dental check up too. Maybe, I can just go to visit my dentist earlier. But, I only notice that my car battery dead when it was about time to sent my son to school. Need to spent money again. Last week my car tyre just got puncture when a 2 inch nail popped into it. I've called the foreman to come to my house but still waiting for them till now. I hope to get my battery changed and I can use my car again .. .. ..

Sometimes when I think, I just desperately need someone who can be my driver :))) Sent me to the place I want to go & fetch me when I want to go home .. .. hehe!!

Lately, I've been visiting this White Kopitiam frequently for my dinner. This kopitiam have been operated since June this year. The food there are average in taste and price. They are famous for the Seafood Tomyam & HK-style Milk Tea. Those are my favorite too :)

For those who still haven't tried the food there might just give it a try. The price are reasonable and the food are yummy. I love the environment there... very clean and comfortable.

HER BIG DAY ..!!

Who's BIG DAY?? Yes, it's my mother in law's big day, it's her birthday. My mother in law, she will only celebrates her birthday according to the Chinese Lunar Calendar's date. She is quite a traditional thinking lady who must eat "mee sua & eggs" on her birthday.

I'm very bad that I never take the effort to remember her chinese lunar birthdate. I remember I only cook twice the mee sua soup for her birthday in my more than 10yrs ++ as her daughter in law. Not too bad already la,.. at least I cooked for her before .. hehe !!

How Do You Like It Raining ??

How do you like raining and how does it make you feel??

For me, rain can stir up a lot of different emotions depending upon the situation, location, and who I am with or if I'm alone.

Rain can be very sensual and romantic; cause a feeling of calm and peacefulness to wash over you; make you extremely reflective and introspective; bring about a ton of thoughts about the past/present/future and help resolve issues that I might be struggling with at that particular time; well, I could go on, but that's enough of that. I don't want everyone to know EVERYTHING about me :) LOL!

I love listening to the rain softly hit the windows or the roof as I go to sleep. It almost creates a feeling of comfort and being safe and that in itself will tend to lull me to sleep.

I prefer just to stay home when it is raining. One of the way I enjoy myself when raining is having something warm, like a bowl of my favorite Maggi instant noodles and watching my favorite movie or online. Eating something warm on raining day are just comforting.

Her Very First Trip . . . .

My elder princess - Jou Nin was chosen to represented her school Chinese Orchestra group to play Cello at Genting Highland for the International Chinese Orchestra Competition. It was the world ranking competition which was also participated by the candidates/students from as far as China, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand & etc. She was very excited and happy, getting all her stuff packed as early as few days ago and even ask me to get her a new pair of pink sport shoes just for her journey to Genting Highland. I can see she really look like going to Genting holiday than competition.

Most girls would like to spent their time in a beauty salon or shopping. But, I like to visit bookshops & spent hours there to go thru all the books that I like - especially all the recipe books for baking & cooking. I love to flipped over the colorful pages with those yummy pictures of the food in it. Admire the food cooked & steal some idea on how to snap a good foodie pics :) I just can't resist when I saw recipe books, I must flipped to see what's in it.

My very first recipe book was the recipe textbook that I'm using when I'm still in secondary school. I was in the home-science class and every Thursday, we have to bring the ingredients according to the recipe that we need to cook on that day to cook in our school kitchen. I wonder, if there are home-science classes for the form 4 & 5 students now??

I still remember my home-science teacher Mrs Molly Tan screaming & scolding us all the way from start till the end of our cooking class. She is very "garang" & we all so scare of her :( She will even pull our ears if we did anything wrongly ... hehe !! I still can recall her pretty face & screaming voice till now... we have learn a lot of cooking tips from her, Mrs Molly Tan - if u see this, Thank you so much & I miss u !! :p

Yeah, talk about recipe books ... I've really huge collection of good recipe book at home. Some of it are more than 10 yrs ald. I like to flipped on the recipe books when I'm free & from there, I'll come out with the idea on what I want to cook for my family.. At here, I would like to take this opportunity to thank my foodie blogger friend - PENNY for present me 3 recipe books when we meet up when I'm in KL. Thank you so much my dear (^.^) !! (Will snap the pictures of the recipe books she gave me to show all of u soon)

For those who knows me, I'm not chinese-educated & dunno chinese ... I'm those who will call us Bananas!!! hahaa... Please PARDON ME?? why u all call the ppl who dunno chinese BANANA?? I didn't look anything like BANANA ok?? & I don't really like yellow color as well .. that's my youngest daughter favourite color, hehe!! Can anyone tell me, why banana??

I always or sometime once a while will blame my mom, for why she didn't sent me to a chinese primary ... I try to learn chinese by myself since younger days .. but till now, I still cannot master it all. Chinese language are the hardest to learn not to mention writing all those weird characters .. I will CRY!! For the reason that I don't know chinese ... I have missed out all those nice chinese language books & novels .. can't read them.. kelian lo!!

Anyway, beside chinese cookbooks & magazines ... here are 2 chinese books that I buy for myself for the very first time ... Just want to learn reading it, not that easy tho.. I think these 2 books will last me 5 yrs to finished them .. ha ha ha ... :)

Both books are very interesting, got help from my daughter 2 read the first chapter for me ald... will ask her to help me again when school holidays starts .. :)

Sometimes I just feels that time passed just like that & too fast. I'm getting older each day & my kids have really grown up. It's almost coming 6 months since my beloved dad leave this world. Miss him a lot!! Time just passed and this year is going to end very soon, another 2 months to go! When I think back, we just really need to treasure the time we have. Be happy, be content & always feeling blessed of what we have now.

My mother now already started to get used with her life without my dad. I just want to stay and take care of her, treasure my moment with her all the time. Mom, I love u!! without you, there'll be no ME :) Thanks for everything u have given me... and it's time for me to care for u now. Just want to treasure my time with her ..

What happened to Malaysia now, it's not safe to stay here anymore?? Lately I really hate reading my morning newspapers with what greet me on the front page is not the news of joy but instead the news of suicides, rapes, abuses, bully or murder and more murders. The most gruesome, cruel crime a man can commit.

Just recently when I went to market and heard the aunties there talk about how four malays guys on motorbike trying to snatch the white-gold necklaces from one old auntie that doing her morning walk nearby the basketball court at the place I stayed. Worst is, when the auntie told him, she doesn't bring much money because she was there just for her morning exercise and one of the guy got down from his bike and use his hand started to check on the auntie chest and bra, to see if she hide any money inside. I can't imagine if the old auntie are the younger girls, what will they do to her?? I always think, if I were to meet with this I will just surrender all my things to them... but, what if....they started to touch me?? What shall I do next?? ...

p/s: I heard this not happened to only one auntie on that particular morning, but three other aunties too at the same location where they usually do their morning exercise... nowadays, want to do some morning-walk/exercise also not safe :(

Lunch At Queensbay Mall Sakae Sushi

Yesterday is the so called 1Malaysia Day, which is also a public holiday for all. Since I have promised my 3 monkeys to bring them visit Penang, I make a trip to bring my mom visit my brother and stay overnight at my bro's place. We reached Penang around 11.30am and straight drive to my bro's house at Sg. Ara. Since my brother have made appointment with a chinese doctor for my mom. I left my mom with my brother and bring my 3 monkeys to Queensbay Mall for lunch. Living in AS, actually it's not that bad but when it comes to food. We don't have much choice... if those who always eating outside will surely gets boring very fast :)

My 3 monkeys, they love japanese & western food so much, maybe this is 2 kind of food that I will never cook for them. I bring them to eat japanese food, (my fav too!!) and we end up lining-up for 15mins at Sakae Sushi for a seat of four. Here are some of the food we ordered... some I forget to snap pics...sorry ya!

Look at what I got for myself today. Cook books again, let me tell you my house will soon buried by the recipes books haha!! Each and every time when I visited a bookstores or newspaper stand at the road side, I will surely look out for books about cooking, baking or photography. I can spent hours there just to flip over all the pages and read it without realize the time I spent to read it. I like to buy recipe books & I have quite a hug collection of it. I will try out the recipe one by one when I'm free. I bought 3 recipes book which cost me RM50 today...I'm so happy!!

Below are the 3 recipe books I got today...

I will buy this Famous Cuisine cookery magazine each month. It was a nice book that talk about cooking & baking. They shared fabulous recipes too.. :D

Some Story To Share...

After a long school & Raya holidays, yesterday was the first schooling day for my 2 princess. Actually I don't even spent it going anywhere, just stay home & continue with my job...no off-day for me - poor me..!! :( My brother travelled back from Penang with his wifey & baby. All of us staying under one roof. When all of the kids getting together, there starts all the noise..., they argued & fighting with each other every single second. Omg, really test my patience ... :) They keep on complain me for not bring them out to other place for holiday. Ya, I know..it's been quite a long time I didn't bring them anywhere farer than Alor Star town ...hahaa!! My bad, my bad... but when think of them quarreling all the way when I was driving, fuh,.. I prefer just to stay home and online ... I feel stress just thinking about that ..lol ~~

Yesterday was the first school day for my 2 princess. After holidaying for such a long time 3 of us don't even to bother when the alarm clock ringing that morning.. I was awake when the alarm ring on 6am but con't to close my eyes and cover myself under my thick blanket to nap. In my heart, "ai,..still early la..nap a while ok one!! " hahaa... 3 of us end-up wake up at 6.30am.. omg!! we are going to late.!! Blame me ~ But, we manage to get into car to school just in time. Fuyoh...smart mama (proud) :D and.... u guess what happened next??

As usual, I will got down the car to help my princess to carry their bags, file and everything before saying to them "妈咪爱你，要小心咯" & give them a kiss on cheek before sending them off. Only that time, I saw my youngest princess she wearing just slippers on her foot!!! In rush, she got into the car with just her slippers??? "Stress or not!!"" She then show me her innocent face...like so "kelian" How can I scold her when seeing her so worry and scare? then how?? ...lol I came with an idea, put a plaster on her toe. And ask her to lie her headmaster, teachers & friends says she injured her toe when cycling... very bad hor?? We have to tell lies at times also...aren't we? Life is stress all the time...

p/s : This morning she forget her pencil case pulak!!! and, insist me to send it to her... Stress or not???

Maybe ..we are suppose to meet the wrong people before meeting the right one, so that, when we finally meet the right person ,we will know how to be grateful for that gift.

LV, Gucci, Chanel?? I can't afford & not my cup of tea also. I don't think in my life I will ever spent few thousands RM just for a handbag, that's not me!! There must be something went wrong if you saw me carrying a branded bag.. lol

After few of my friends sharing a post like this before. I'm going to share mine today. This is actually part of girls secret and they always said, u can tell one's person personality by just check out her handbag :P

Let's start with the handbag I'm carrying today. Most close friend of mine will know my favorite color is GREEN. Why green..? Maybe, I love just love plants..lol I always love bags that made from fabric, that can be wash when it's dirty. Now you know how I always dirty my bags ... haha!! Well, this is the type of bags that I will buy and die for :P I have another 2 - one in dark blue and one in orange color of different design but same fabric and brand. Both of it are as cute as this one ..hehe!!

Deep In My Heart I Feel The Pain . . .

More than 3 months now since my beloved dad left us. It's my responsibility to take care of my mom and she now staying with me. Everything changed in such a short time, slowly I have to adjust my life and continue my journey without him. After some discussion with my mom and my brother, we decided to move out all the stuff at my parent's house and rent it out since no one are going stay there anymore. Each time when I go to that house all of the memories of the past comes back to me one by one. Each and every part of the house reminds me of him a lot (my beloved dad)... I MISS HIM so much!! really miss him... Old photographs of him, his clothes, his writing on the books, the sofa he used to sit and his favourite old CDs etc reminds me of him. My heart feels so pain..I don't know how to describe it here, only who have lost someone so dear can understand my feelings. I'm sad that my dad have leave us for a better place and now I have to say Good Bye to my own HOME. A place where I grown up, a place that's full of memories of my younger time which I'm so familiar with. It's really disheartening to see how my HOME look like now. Things will not be the same now & forever. I'M SO SAD...

p/s: I'm tired after doing all the clean up today but deep inside me, my heart feels so pain than just tired ...

It has been 2 month since I last visit them. Today, finally I found sometime to pay all the 婆婆 there a visit. Normally, I will bring some food for them and today I've buy them "chai kueh", some cream crackers & 3 in 1 spirulina cereal. I'm happy when seeing them smiling when they saw me and keep on thank me for buying them food ... I just feel happy, happy, happy !!

Her name is Ah Yan, she is 65 yrs old already although she is not taller than a 5yrs old children.
She is 82yrs old, so sad I heard that she's been paralysed since last month. Have to sit on wheel chair all the time now... :(

Each time this 婆婆 when saw me, she sure got something to talk but so sad that she is mute...and I end up dunno what she want :(
She asked me to snap her photo.. how cute!! :)
She complained to me that both her leg feels pain ... I just can help her to massage a bit and I hope that might help her to ease her pain ...
From her face, I know she is sad.... I know ... :(

Yes, talking about embarass stuff. There is one time when I go shopping at Alor Star mall...it was very crowded that day because a singer from Taiwan is going to perform and promote her new CD. Just part of I'm too free, I too join the crowd and waited for the singer to sing.

After standing there for 15-20mins, I saw a old auntie which have wore her blouse the other way side out (terbalik) and she didn't even notice it. I can see very clearly the brand tag at the back of her blouse and I wonder why a man, suppose to be her husband who is standing just behind him didn't even notice that??

If you were me, will u point out to the lady and tell her, "Auntie,,.. lu cheng toh peng sa liao"!!! and ask her to go and change it??? In my heart, I really wanted to inform her but maybe in the lower voice when nobody listen to us but, I know she wanted to listen to singer from Taiwan wor.. I just pretend like other people there...didn't see anything.. MY BAD!! Sorry ya, auntie!!

What's Your Most Embarrassing Moment?

Well, I think most of us sure got our most embarrass time. Just to share a story of a silly girl with all of you here. There is one time, long time ago... Here the story goes, I don't know in other country but Malaysia when there is Chinese New Year approaching there will be Pasar Malam "Night Market" everywhere. The story starts with this girl, although she doesn't really wanted to buy anything but she just wanted to join the crowd and go to the night market. It's very crowded with people especially with CNY just around the corner... As usual, she just walk around and have a look at the stuff sold there. Meet with some of her friends and sembang- sembang a bit, then buying some food to eat as well.

She didn't notice anything wrong until she wanted to try on one new sandal at a stall selling shoes. Ahh..to my horror, I was wearing 2 different slipper each on my foot. Right the black colour slippers and left foot is a red one. 2 different colour and design slipper... OMG!! That girl is ME !!! hahaha.. How embarrass I am at that time. Today I'm going to share with all of you some of my personal antique collection. I think not all of us like antiques, especially the younger generations now. They don't even want to give a second look at all those old things. To them they are just like the unwanted rubbish. I was lucky to have a grandma that likes to collects all those old things, she treasure and keep all her stuff nicely and when she passed away, my father was the one who continue to keep and collect all her things. Today, let me show you all this antique chinese teacups from China. I don't know the actual year of this teacups were made, but it's many years ago for sure. My father told us, this teacups are older than him and I guess it should be more than 70 yrs old.

I just like the drawings on it. Those phoenix and flowers..it's so detail and beautiful.

Ever since secondary school time, I've already exposed to this monster (SLR at that time) I love my picture to be taken. I love the bokeh in the picture taken by this monster. I wish that one day I can become the photographer and snap pictures for others. But at that time, all are just dream... I wish I can have enough money to get this monster one day :)

What's The Purpose Of Our Life?

How many of us ever think of this question before?? Actually, I have think of this question before and my friend bring up this question again when we were chatting in the FB. What's the purpose of our life actually?? Time flies and I'm approaching 40 yrs of age. I have now walked almost half of my life provided I can live until 70 or 80. Ever think that what have you achieve so far?

I can say that I should thank Buddha for my life now. I'm feel blessed and happy with what I've now. I've 3 wonderful kids that keep me busy all the time. Well, I think that's the biggest driving force to keep me on going and on going ... I also would like to spent more of my time to understand buddhist teaching, practice yoga & meditation. Living in a world that free from enemy, lies & gossip. I wish to do more charity & social work. Contribute my time for people who really need our helping hand. I have spent most of my time for my family actually and don't even have time for myself. I have neglect myself long time ago...sigh*

Life is like a dream... Good dream or bad dream, sooner or later we will awake, right? We can't predict our future. However, I wish I could safe up more money and travel to more places, trying out more different kind of food. Snap down more beautiful pictures to share with all my friends. I also want to try out more new recipes. Cooking & baking for my family & friends is the most wonderful thing I longed to do. Life isn't that bad after all !!! :)

I know some of my blogger friends love flowers and I snapped pictures my orchid flowers to share with them. JLE, what do u think of my orchid?? Nice or not..hehe!

Beside Lotus flower, I like orchid...love their unique petals and colours. Orchid flower also can last for longer time, sometime it can last up to more than 2 weeks.

Please pardon me, I know I've abandoned my Blog for such a long period. SORRY!! I've been facing some personal problems which really have affected my entire mood to blog, to cook & etc. Please don't ask me what had happened to me but don't worry as I've got back to my normal self by now and things also started to change drastically. I'm now a happy gal again~lol! Let's forget the unhappy moment which had passed and looking forward for a better tomorrow :)

I truly believe that we keep on learning from our experience. No doubt that we learned as we grown older. We become wiser as we aged. For the past 3 yrs, I've learned a lot about life. Life is not always on the sweet side, sometimes we happened to meet with something bitter unexpectedly and we cannot take it because we are not prepared for it at all and that's life. For the very first time tasting something bitter, we sure cannot stand it right?? but, after sometime I have get use to it :)

Sometime when I think back, actually I was so lucky as I'm not alone and I've friends and my family there who always support me and accompany me. Thank you!!

I must admit that I got one bad habit that I should kick off. Umm, it's not that only one bad habit I've, actually I got dozen of it ~lol I don't wanna talk about the bad habits now. Let me just say out one here. I love to buy stuff that's look cute without think if it's suitable for me or if I'm gonna to use it later. Just like when I saw these ribbon hairclips when I went to the market yesterday, I can't resist and bought it. The first thing came to my mind is, my princess will sure like it... (an excuse for myself.. teehee!!) Oh well, why bought 4 since I only have 2 princess?? At first I only choose one red floral motive and the pink polkadots one but when I saw the blue one, I thought it look nice as well ... um, and I can use it too (another excuse.. :)) ) After that I saw the pink floral motive one quite nice and end up bought 4 of it which cost me RM20. One hairclip is RM5. I think this is how my money keep on disappear from my wallet ...hahaha!!! Most girls weakness I think.. The only way I can really save up my money is, staying at home and don't go anywhere. Here is the pictures of the hairclip I bought... :)

My New Wallet

Yay,... I got myself a new wallet when I go to Alor Star Mall for lunch yesterday. I've been looking for a perfect wallet lately. Actually, I saw some nice one when I visit Hatyai last week but it's too pricey. Stuff in Hatyai now are not that cheap anymore. The wallet I saw cost 2800 baht. It's around RM280+ and for me, it's very expensive. I can use the money to buy myself a nice handbag or some nice dressed already. So, I give up and just forget it. Luckily, I didn't buy the wallet I saw in Hatyai the other day. If not, I will surely regret when I saw the wallet I bought now.

Here is the POLO leather wallet I got for myself for only RM39.60 after big DISCOUNT - cheap or not???? My wallet look sexy right?? and it's in my favourite BLACK colour.

I like it have few compartment inside, easier for me to sort out my things in it. And it's really soft to touch. I can smell it's leather smell, comfirm it's not PVC one...hehe!!

POLO Logo and brand on top of the wallet. Very nice and good quality wallet.

I love the zip colour in bronze, look very elegant. Over all it's one of my BEST purchase in year 2010. Worth the price and all. I will show you my old Bonia wallet in my next post.

Lunch At Alor Star Mall - Wah Tua Guan

Today I didn't cook. I spent my time to do some housework instead. I decided to bring my mother and my 3 kids to Alor Star Mall for some grocery shopping and have our lunch there. My 3 kids, the love to go shopping very much. We prefer window shopping more as I won't simply buy things that I don't really need. Wah Tua Guan Restaurant are quite famous with those who stay in Alor Star. The main restaurant are actually located near Jalan Putra and the one in Alor Star Mall is actually it's branch. I love the environment and the food they selling there. The price are reasonable too.

Pa, I regret that I don't take it serious when you told me you don't have appetite to eat. All I think is, maybe it's the weather too warm and pa, you don't have the appetite. All the while, you are a healthy man. You are the man that protect me. When I have problems you are always there for me. You helped me in anyway. Life without you will not be the same again. I miss arguing with you over small things. We argue on everything and anything. We just have different opinion and point of view. Pa, you know.... the more we argue each time, the better relationship we have. I miss your laughter, your stories and everything. Especially when I see your favourite sofa in my living room. The sofa that you will always sit there to watch TV , talk to me and end up we arguing with each other. I MISS YOU, PAPA, really missed u so so much!!!

You never complain of any discomfort or pain. You never tell us you are sick and never want to see a DR. Pa, you will always in the bottom of my heart, forever and ever. I'm going to celebrate the Father's Day without my PAPA for the first time this year. Pa, I wish you "Happy Father's Day!!" Please rest in PEACE, we are all doing fine here. Don't worry, ok!

I'm Still Alive...!

I think some of you who follows my blog would wonder what I have been up to lately... Why I stopped update my blog for such a long time. I'm doing fine here friends and even put on weight, eating too much and now on diet. Each time when I try to upload pictures or leaving comments on my friend blog, I just have to wait so long to wait them upload it. Well, this is the internet service I'm using now - WIMAX. It kills all my moods to update my blog. No matter how many calls I made to complain about their connection problems the matter seems like never solved and I have get sick of this. I sometimes wake up in the morning just to find that there is no internet connection at my house for that day or either no stable connection without prior notice. How can we have a company that's so irresponsible to their customers??? What if we have some important mails to reply or important stuff to online for that particular day which will cause a big lost if we can't online, something that's very urgent to get online?? Who are going to bear the lost??? My contract with WIMAX is 2 yrs and will end on Nov this year, we have to pay an amount of money if we terminate it before the contract ends. I just can't wait to terminate my service with them...cannot tahan already!!

To WIMAX : If you don't want to lost more customers, please upgrade your internet service!!

One month staying in Hanoi. I got all my battery charged and back to Malaysia full of energy before I starts to work fulltime again...hahaha!! When I was in Hanoi with my kids to visit my hubby, I don't need to do any housework except put all the dirty clothes in the washing machine. Don't have to wake up early and do anything at all. Everyday we just got to try out nice Vietnamese food and we were always invited to some of my hubby's colleage and friends house for dinner. One month, everyday I just eat and sleep, eat and sleep..... and, to my horror when I weight myself only found that I have put on weight .... !!!! 54kg arh... !! I've put on 5 kg ...crazy!!

I was 49kg before I left for Hanoi and now what scared me is, most of my pants cannot be buttoned and I have so big sparetyre around my waist...no more body hugging clothes for me *sob** I have to wear a size bigger now and just buy the loose blouse or shirt to cover my sparetyre. I was surprised that some of my friends don't even notice that.. They don't know I have gain so much weight...hahaha!!! Chinese New Year is approaching and how can I start my diet now??? Not possible right? How ah?? Eat first, and let me become fat piggy first and then only I starts diet or I must start it right now??? ......... NIGHTMARE...NIGHTMARE !!!! help me!

P/S : Hubby back for CNY and he will stays here until when...?? I dunno yet ...!! I plan to make my version of melt in mouth peanut cookies next week. Check out my Cooking Crave blog for the recipes.. tata!!

Princess's Birthday ....

Yeah...my princess Jou Nin turn eleventh yesterday. So fast and she is now 11 yrs old. I still remember the time she was born 11 yrs ago when I have my confinement on CNY time. See all the food and cold drinks then I cannot eat them...that's a torture!! hehe...

I want to thank my friend Ai Lee for buy her a nice chocolate birthday cake and bring all her 4 kids over to celebrate Jou Nin's birthday. They sings her a birthday songs and blow the candles together. I was too busy that I can't bring her out for a dinner and all my 3 kids also have tuition classes that night. How can I let them miss the class?? I think I will just bring them out for dinner tonight as 3 of them are free tonight.... deal??
Everyone are so kee poh and wants to blow the candles as well...hahaha look at their expression... they are so happy that day!!! Thanks again Ai Lee ^ . ^ for your wonderful thoughts!

Dearest friends who notice my dissappearance or who don't even notice my dissappearance ...hehe! I'm BACK !! With lots more stories to share and lots more pictures to show. Please accept my biggest appologies before I starts on anything. Too much things happened, don't worry... I shall said it's good thing not the bad one okay...haha! The main reason I stopped blogging for so long is since I sign up the WiMax service. The connection real sucks till I was at first angry and at last lazy to blog. I takes me like forever to upload my pics into the photobucket, the connection is just too slow. Other thing is, I was so so busy travelling here and there. Preparing all the stuff for my kids, from tuition to school and the most is loads of housework waiting for me to do. I always end up so tired and spent my freetime facebooking and play games in FB. To my friends here, I'm sorry if you really come to my blog here and feels so boring, no updates from me....sorry ya!! Ya, he surprised me with UPSR - 7A's result. It never came into my mind that my son can score straight A in his exam because he is too weak in his Chinese papers. I couldn't believe it when his teacher called and informed me this morning. He always relaxing at home and never do his revision at all, not even on the week of UPSR exam. He watch dramas and television. It has been a bit tough for him when he was transfer from the second class to the first class this year. He got to work harder to catch up with all the best students in his class. I never force or push him in his studies. I don't want my son to have much pressure in his studies. But his take it easy and no rush attitude in doing things really worried me.

Today apart from the big surprise, he prove to me that he can make it. Yeah!! I want to tell him, Son..mommy is really proud of you!!

p/s: To all the parents out there, always feels proud of our kids no matter what. Every kid are unique and special in their own way, be it in education or talent!!

Gosh...I Put On Weight!!

Did you read my post titled "My New Toy"?? Yep, I bought a breadmaker recently and started my bread making adventures. I can say that, I got addicted to bread making and baked buns or bread almost every single day for the first 2 weeks I got the new toy. Glad to tell that, I've improved a lot, now I manage to bake buns or bread like the one sold in the bakery or maybe tastes better. Ehmm, emm... lol~~~ I must says that it's the ingredients I use - fresh & healthy. Where can you get those bread if not baking one yourself right? lame*

While enjoying baking all those lovely buns..I've forget to WATCH OUT my figure. Oh my GOD!! I put on 2KG.... I was unaware of my weight until one day, I tried so hard to button my hot pants..hahaha!!! I wonder is the jeans turn smaller after I wash them, (you know..I always buy cheap hot pants from market,..so it happened when after first wash the pants colour came off or become 1 or 2 inch smaller). I weight myself and to my horror... I put on weight. I think it's because I've eat too much high calorie -bread and buns lately. I use the best brand butter, milk, honey etc.. etc.. to bake my bread. Huh..!!! that's the reason, too healthy and too much calorie..!!!! The spare-tyre around my waist starts to shows..., DIE !! DIE!!! ..

I can't control myself for not baking any breads, so how ah?? Don't ask me not to eat and just bake it ~ hahaaa!!! Mana boleh tahan!! My life will be total boring if I don't cook or bake.

Friends, please tell me what to do if I'm not in the kitchen cooking or baking??? What you all do to fills up your free time???

A friend of mine forward me these pictures of cakes. The title of the email is Tokyo Cake Design Competition. Those was cakes that I wish I can bake one day. I wanted to learn cake dacoration so much but too bad in this small town where I stayed don't have any cake decoration class I can attend. My wish is, I hope one day I can get to attend more cooking or baking class.

Sometimes I will day-dream to own a bakery. Selling the homemade style bread that use healthy ingredients and fresh out of oven bread~ hahaha... I love to bake! I love to see my kids when they enjoy eating my cooking. Luckily, I just love to bake but I don't eat much of my cakes or bread. If not, I bet I will need to take the diet pills to keep me slim.

My New Toy . . .

This new toy have been in my wishlist for quite sometime. It never crossed my mind to bake my own bread and buns as we can easily get variety types and flavour of the bread in bakery. The price for me is still affordable although it's quite costly when I bought it in large number. My 3 kids they love bread so much, especially those buns topped with cheese, filled with hotdog and mexico buns.

I got to know that most of the bread that we bought either from the grocery shop, bakery does contain preservatives to preserve the bread to last longer. I wonder what will happened to us of we continue to take it for a long time?? After much consideration and thinking, I decided to just invest a bread machine and start my own bread making adventure.
